Question
Will Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment be removed by Owner prior to construction?
Answer See Bid Specifications - Special Conditions - F URNITURE, SHELVING AND EQUIPMENT MOVING - Owner shall be responsible for moving all furniture, shelving, and equipment to clear work areas for Contractor. Contractor shall be responsible for providing at least 48-hours advance notice to Owner before moving into a new work area.

Will library be closed or operational during construction?
Answer See Bid Specification - Special Conditions - The facility will be in operation during work, so phasing of work areas and coordination with staff is required to allow programs to operate during renovations. Noisy or disruptive work will require advanced notice and may be limited to hours outside of normal building operating hours. CONTRACTOR TO PROVED FIRE, SMOKE, DIRT, DUST AND NOISE CONTAINMENT BARRIERS BETWEEN THE WORK AREA AND THE ADJACENT OWNER OCCUPIED SPACES.

Question
On the Finish Plan A2.01 the flooring designations do not match up with the Finish Schedule A2.10. Normally we would just go with the Finish Schedule, but in the Main Collection Room 101 the Finish Schedule calls for CPT1 witch only comes in a 12”X36” and the room show a particular start point. Not only that, the CPT1 is a bit more expensive, so we don’t want to figure it wrong.

Answer Per the Bid Specifications it is the contractors responsibility to determine areas within the scope of work. The Contractor shall field check and verify all dimensions and existing conditions prior to bidding. The Contractor shall be responsible for the professional quality, technical accuracy, timely completion, and coordination of all services furnished by the Contractor, their principals, officers, employees, agents, Subcontractors and suppliers required to complete this Contract.
