The "Project" of which the "Work" of the Contract is a part titled Regional Justice Center (RJC) Electrical Upgrades for Arc Flash Compliance and is located at 200 Lewis Avenue Las Vegas, Nevada 89155. The "Work" is described in the Project Drawings and Divisions 01 through 26 of the Project Manual. The Work consists of the construction of replacing select electrical breakers, electrical distribution boards, and complete panel enclosures in order to meet the minimum required AIC ratings as calculated in a recent arc-fault power study. Construction includes all administrative work as outlined in the Division 01 General Requirements and the following using materials noted on Drawings and Specifications: Selective demolition for electrical, grounding and bonding for electrical systems, identification for panels and equipment, provide and install new switchboard(s) and panels, an updated arc-flash study from Contractor will be required at the end of construction. Work Hours: The General Contractor will perform construction activities during the following times: Sunday through Saturday between 7:00 pm to 5:00 am. All dates and times will be outlined in the Project Schedule as required per Section 01 32 16 – Progress Schedule. Contractor will notify Owner’s Representative when changes to the submitted working days/hours are deemed necessary. Schedule Requirements: The contractor has a total of seven-hundred-thirty (730) days to complete the entire work. An Administrative Notice to Proceed (ANTP) period of two-hundred-fifty (250) days has been allotted for material and equipment procurement, submittals, background checks and badging issuance, Requests for Information (RFI) processing and other administrative activities. A construction period of four-hundred-fifty (450) days is included in the total number of days. Construction Notice to Proceed (CNTP)/Mobilization for construction will be issued subsequent to acceptance of all administrative requirements and may be issued within the ANTP period. Upon acceptance and issuance of substantial completion, a thirty (30) day closeout period will begin. All closeout activities outlined in Section 01 77 00 Closeout Procedures shall be completed within this time. Due to building operational needs, phasing of work will be limited to 1 floor at a time, the construction period from mobilization to substantial completion established above takes this into account. The scope of work for this project includes materials and equipment that is anticipated to have a long lead time, the Administrative Notice to Proceed (ANTP) period listed above takes lead times into account, County may choose to issue CNTP for mobilization prior to procurement of all materials but will not issue until panelboards have been procured and confirmation indicating arrival time of all other equipment/materials has been obtained and is reflected on the approved construction schedule. Entire work includes ANTP, Construction to Substantial Completion, and Closeout.
