The City of Henderson is calling on artists to design and create two unique 2D interactive murals for a two-sided, 10x10, Monarch butterfly garden wall, currently under construction at the Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve. This mural wall will be part of the new Monarch Butterfly Garden at the 100-acre nature preserve, home to thousands of migratory waterfowl as well as numerous resident desert birds.

The two-sided, 10x10 wall (total 200 square feet) will have a different interactive mural on each side of the wall. The 2D interactive wall of art will encourage and invite garden visitors to take photos as part of the canvas. The two wall murals will encapsulate a monarch butterfly theme with larger-than-life wings for visitors to be part of the art. The murals on each side of the wall must be different. Artwork must be completed by December 5, 2022.
