The Army Contracting Command – New Jersey is planning to issue a Request for Proposal for the MK19 MOD-4 Grenade Machine Gun (GMG) and MK19 MOD-4 GMG Spare Parts Kits during the June 2023 timeframe to U.S. Ordnance, 300 West Sydney Dr., McCarran, Nevada 89434.

A Justification & Approval document utilizing FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) was approved in April 2023 for the addition of the MK 19 MOD-4 GMGs and spare part kits. This pending modification will incorporate the MK19 MOD-4 GMG and associated Spare Part kits into the MK 19 MOD-3 GMG Contract W15QKN-22-D-0013. The MK19 MOD-3/MOD-4 GMGs are air cooled, blow-back operated, belt-fed, automatic weapons that fire 40MM grenades from ground mounts and vehicles. The Government will require the fabrication, in process inspection, First Article Testing, ongoing Lot Acceptance Tests and delivery of weapon systems manufactured to the U.S. Government Technical Data Package.
