Description: THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP). Proposals shall only be requested and accepted from contractors who are a Small Business AND certified in System for Award Management (SAM, https://sam.gov).
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), United States Forest Service (USFS), has a requirement for but not limited to the following:
127EAW23R0024 - Chimney Beach Trailhead Parking Upgrades Project:
The Chimney Beach Trailhead Parking Upgrades Project includes the earthwork construction of a 130-space parking lot and corresponding access road within the Chimney Beach recreation area near Incline Village, NV. Option items include the construction of aggregate base, concrete curb and gutter, and sidewalk. The work includes, but is not limited to tree removal, roadway excavation, aggregate base placement, and a storm drain system. Pedestrian access to National Forest Lands will be maintained throughout the project, however public parking will not be permitted in the existing parking area.
Project Location: From the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit’s Supervisor’s Office: travel northeast on College Ave. toward Al Tahoe Blvd. for 305 feet. Continue northeast on Johnson Blvd. for 1.0 miles, turn right onto US Highway 50 for 14.1 miles, turn left onto Highway 28 for 5.3 miles. Turn right onto Chimney Beach Trailhead Road. (39.16774° N, 119.92699° W)
Solicitation Number 127EAW23R0024 for this effort will be posted to SAM.gov (https://sam.gov) on or about May 10th, 2023. This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications, drawings and other information necessary submit a proposal for this project.
There is currently no official group site visit scheduled. The solicitation will include site visit information if one is deemed necessary.
Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects: The estimated cost of the total project is expected to be between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00.
